Kemtec™ Coliform Test Classroom Kit

A dramatic way to demonstrate the presence of coliforms in water samples to students with a limited laboratory background. Eliminates the need for expensive laboratory equipment for teaching bacteriology, and includes all necessary materials alleviating extensive lab preparation.  Great for leading into discussions about water pollution or environmental contamination. May be used in a multitude of science applications. Kit includes instructor’s manual with background information, and enough materials for 24 students working individually, in pairs, or in groups.  Includes 25 tubes for testing water for presence of Escherichia coli indicative of the presence of animal waste. Requires incubator (37C). Meets national standards for grades 8-12.
